Reviews Of The INFINITI QX80

What are auto critics saying about this popular luxury vehicle? Find out:

MotorTrend

“With its redesign last year, the QX80 finally moved away from simply being an upscale Nissan Armada and carved out its own distinct identity. Exterior features like the Infiniti’s new characteristic face and available retractable running boards set the luxury SUV apart, as do its rich interior and trim materials that include open-pore wood and etched metal.

Even the second row is well-equipped, and the model’s large windows facilitate excellent outward visibility. The upgrade audio hits hard, too.”

The experts at MotorTrend also discussed this vehicle’s handling:

“Driving dynamics are about what you’d hope for from a large luxury SUV. Ride and handling balance is great, with the suspension more on the compliant side. Though not as quick as the previous QX80, ProPilot Assist self-driving was useful to have and reliable.”

Car And Driver

“Following its redesign last year, the INFINITI QX80 finally has the upscale visual presence and deluxe interior digs to go toe-to-toe with some of the biggest players in the full-size luxury SUV segment. The 2026 QX80 feels undeniably premium, with a decadent interior that is spacious, quiet, and feature-rich. Massaging and ventilated seats are available in the first and second rows, and the third row is roomy enough for adults.”

The folks at Car and Driver also discuss engine specs:

“All QX80s are powered by a twin-turbo 3.5-liter V-6 that makes 450 horsepower. Acceleration is brisk, and the engine’s sound remains muted even under heavy throttle. A nine-speed automatic is standard, and Pure and Luxe trims can be had with either rear- or all-wheel drive; Sport and Autograph models get all-wheel drive standard. An air-spring suspension system is included on all but the base Pure trim.”

Kelley Blue Book

“When you step inside, it’s clear INFINITI aimed for elegance. Two 14.3-inch displays dominate the dash, with a 9-inch climate screen below. A head-up display joins the party at Luxe trim.

Seating is for seven or eight, with captain’s chairs in the second row if you go with seven. Front seats? Wide and supremely comfortable. Outward visibility? Excellent. The Autograph trim is pure indulgence, with soft-touch everything, fine materials, and massaging seats in both rows.

Yes, second-row passengers get the spa treatment too. Access to the third row is easy, even with child seats installed. Back there, shorter passengers will be happiest, but they still get USB-C ports (eight total in the cabin), vents, and optional heating.”
